It’s clear that humans have been pesty creatures for thousands of years as evidenced by our countless engineering, artistic, and scientific achievements throughout history. A few examples include the building of the Egyptian pyramids, the transformation of the automobile, the marvel of flying airplanes, musical and artistic movements throughout history, and the advent of modern medicine and working vaccines. Unfortunately, some of our greatest human accomplishments from the 19th and 20th centuries have negatively impacted our planet's health. Excessive waste floods our oceans, pollutes the atmosphere, and litters our land.

getPesty recognizes the need to improve our impact on the environment through recycling, reusing, and repurposing materials. Materials used in getPesty’s hats are 100% recycled or 100% organic cotton. Our brims are constructed using NetPlus - a material created through recycling fishing nets.

All getPesty products are Fair Trade certified. Fair Trade is a global movement made up of a diverse network of producers, companies, shoppers, advocates and organizations. Based on the simple idea that the products we buy and sell are connected to the livelihood of others, Fair Trade is a simple way to promote responsible business, empower workers and farmers, and protect the planet. Since 1998 the Fair Trade program has sent back over $500M in additional income to farmers and workers. We are a proud partner as this mission is central to getPesty.
